1960’s Pop Culture Icon

Gosh when I first fell in love with collecting mid century, I didn’t understand what a fantastic journey of discovery I would be on, from incredible dinnerware, cars, art, furniture, house decor to cool architects such as Frank Lloyd Wright.
The first part of my journey has been mainly been on the American style, and then my discovery expanded to the great European designers, a treasure trove of delicious finds.
This brings me to the great Finish designer Eero Aarnio, known for incredible eccentric chairs that are so cool, no words can describe them enough. Seriously only a cool as hell guy could come up with these cool as a cucumber designs.
Ok so let’s just let it rip.
Ball chair – Globe chair – 1963

Of course he has designed many more awesome space age designs and still does, like the tomato chair, screw table and much more. His work in the hipster 1960’s were often seen in awesome movie sets, he really embodied pop culture.
Of course the designs are so damn cool and have a smooth and simple look, but are right up the alley for today’s households. Eero Aarnio creates all types of badass household goodies, from kitchen appliances, furniture, lamps and more.
You know what is amazing, you can buy this Krazy Kat furniture new if you so desire
