Are you hungry for some tantalizing tassels, fabulous feathers and adorable allure? This delectable dumpling will whet more than your appetite! It’s Ruby Corvette, the syncopated sweetie pie!
A fun-sized dish with exotic heritage and enticing
curves, Ruby is as sweet and delightfully plump as one of her mama’s scrumptious BBQ pork buns!  This saucy vintage vixen delivers a delightful mix of theatricality and tongue-in-cheek seduction, keeping your toes tapping and your heart racing faster than a helping of spicy Schezwan sauce!

As the daughter of a ballerina, Ruby studied tap dancing for 15 years under the tutelage of another unforgettable Miss Munroe and was raised on a diet of limelight, sequins and juvenile Eisteddfod medals.
.
This adorable Brisbane beauty was lucky enough to win a vintage styling course with the Bombshell Burlesque Academy and consequently fell head over (kitten) heels for pinup and burlesque. Ruby was a State Finalist for Miss Burlesque Queensland in 2018 and 2019, a Burlesque Idol Australia Regional Finalist in 2018 and 2019, and appeared in the Australian Burlesque Festival New Follies in 2018.

As a child of Chinese descent growing up in a regional town, Ruby had very few friends with “exotic” ethnicity and was singled out for being different. Fortunately, since discovering the burlesque and pinup communities, Ruby has learnt to love her unique appearance and celebrate her authentic cultural identity, particularly by recreating hairstyles and poses from her grandmother’s glamour photos from the fifties!
.
Ruby feels very strongly about issues surrounding cultural appropriation and Asian fetishism, and uses her pinup and burlesque as a platform to invoke change. She has been featured in “That Pinup” in their article, “What it’s like to be an Asian Pin-up Girl”, was published in the “Pinup Life Magazine” Diversity Issue May 2017 and was a guest blogger on “Little Red Writes” on the topic of cultural appropriation in pinup.
.
She’ll put the spring in your roll, the sticky in your rice, and your duck will certainly be Peking! What a dish! Get ready to sample the syncopated sweetie pie!
