Reverend Horned Heat
I had a delightful chat with an incredible musician who sings and slays a Gretsch guitar – Jim Heath, The Reverend from Reverend Horned Heat. A cool guy, with down to earth vibes, a true professional, plus so lovely to chat with.
He is the genius behind the band Reverend Horned Heat, with an array of talented musicians who have represented him along this journey over the years. Particularly Jimbo Wallace, who plays the Upright Bass, his equally musically talented side kick.
A crazy cool Rock ‘n’ Roll band with a fast paced rockabilly sound, and mind blowing musicianship. They have a huge constant fan base across the globe that keeps them touring with over 200 shows a year.
I have been a fan of this band’s music for many a year. If you have not heard of the Reverend Horned Heat I do suggest have a scroll down and listen to the youtube videos I have listed.
But come back here to read on …………
It is such a tricky time right now to chat to anyone, as everybody is fighting to try to keep their heads above water, as well as spirits.
Before I carry on and tell you how fabulous this band is I am going to say CHECK THEM OUT ON FACEBOOK – THEY HAVE LIVE AND VIRTUAL SHOWS.

Back to some interesting facts; Reverend Horned Heat has been creating music and making records for over 35 years. They have 12 album releases behind them, and are currently signed with Victory records
Oh, and check this fantastic album out – Whole New Life – Store
The history is deep to be honest, they have certainly done their time, from Jim’s early days learning his craft with various bands, and even providing sound for a ton of gigs including such band’s as the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
It certainly was not long before they started on the record label road. Mr Heath indulged me in a delightful story of an unexpected Seattle gig in which the band played to a jam packed audience, a new crowd, and how Bass player, Jimbo Heath, while playing injured himself, and with a blood soaked hand, carried on to a raucous enthusiastic crowd – this is also the gig that got them their 1st record deal.
They have seen their music on endless TV shows, films, commercials, cartoons, video games, with of course media coverage galore, and Jim being a representative for Gretsch Guitars.

Reverend Horned Heat have toured and opened for some of the biggest names; including artists such as White Zombie, Sex Pistols, Motorhead (Lemmy often was spotted in the crowd of a Heat show ) Sound Garden (a personal fav of mine), and many more cool Kats.
