How did the Absinthe role come about ?
.
The Gazillionaire is the owner and host of Absinthe, which has become the hottest show in Las Vegas since it opened almost eight years ago. The Gazillionaire must have seen my act in New York as he invited me to perform as a special guest artist when Absinthe toured to Los Angeles in 2017. About a year later he invited me to join Absinthe in Las Vegas where it is the resident show at Caesars Palace.

Tell us about the Green Fairy?
.
Since arriving at Absinthe, I am proud to say that The Green Fairy has become a very close friend of mine. It’s difficult to say whether she is real or simply a hallucination that the entire audience is experiencing together. Once the bottle of Absinthe is opened at the beginning of the show, The Green Fairy is unleashed and she gives permission for anything to happen. She sings, she flies, she teases and she sprinkles her seductive magic all around the tent!
.
Can you tell us about the show ?
.
Absinthe is an adults-only circus variety show featuring a cocktail of wild and outlandish acts all presented inside Spiegelworld’s wondrous, immersive tent. Audiences are treated to a night of imagination and excess, as the cast of eccentrics perform amazing feats of strength, balance, danger and unfathomable flexibility. It all takes place on the most intimate stage in town.
.
So I suspect doing all those shows a week, you must have to be in great health; how do you keep on top of your fitness and diet?
.
To be honest, I don’t exercise as much as I’d like to, but the ten shows a week definitely help! Getting stronger and more flexible is a goal I’m still reaching for, and I’m lucky to be surrounded by so many inspirational strong women, both at Absinthe and in the burlesque community! I’ve taken to going to the gym after shows around 1am, when I’m still all fired up from the stage. Living in a 24-hour city definitely has its advantages. As far as diet goes, I’m fortunate to be able to eat mostly what I want, though we usually keep meals at home pretty simple.
.
So how is Vegas life now that you’re a Vegas showgirl, and how are you adapting to the lifestyle?
.
What a change it’s been from New York City! After 17 years of apartment living and subway riding in New York, I have a car and live in an actual house with a backyard. Joining the cast of Absinthe and performing on the Strip ten times a week has been so surreal. Some days it’s just another day at work, and then I see a cab drive by with the Absinthe advertisements, and I remember that I get to perform in one of the most popular shows in Vegas! It was difficult to leave my family, my friends, and the creative community of NYC burlesque behind, but I was lucky to be bringing my incredibly supportive husband along with me, and he’s been an angel during this whole period. The only drawback is that it’s more difficult to keep my creative drive going, without the constant roster of different shows and travel in my calendar to push me, but I have had the chance to really work on training my voice, and that is a huge benefit! I am very happy here, and I hope everyone will come out to see our show when they come through Vegas!
